If anybody knows what power the ship, please give us some info.
Do 152000 hps ! a question please for ships some as him are more powerful than others with same or close displacement and not more fast curious a reason ?4 gas turbines (QC-280).
Well the three available Supply class (2 active and one in reserve) are actually about 49,600 tons full load.Do 152000 hps ! a question please for ships some as him are more powerful than others with same or close displacement and not more fast curious a reason ?
Ex : 901 45000 t?, 152000 hp capable 25 -26 kn as Supply 48000 t, 105000 hps in more same hull size, similars about 230 m x 30 m sometimes the shape of the hull can modifiy the speed IIRC.
Good pointWell the three available Supply class (2 active and one in reserve) are actually about 49,600 tons full load.
With their four LM-2500s, they do generate 105,000+ hp, but can sustain 25 knots.
IMHO, the US should have kept all four available...and built four more.
But the US does maintain large oilers (the Henry Kaiser Class) and large dry cargo ships (the Lewis and Clark Class) which can keep the carriers and other ships completely replenished.
There are 16 of the Kaiser class completed and 14 of the Lewis and Clark class. A total of 30 ships. All of them displace just over 40,000 tons full load.
All of them will do 20 knots, and generate something like 34,000 hp.
They cannot keep pace with the carriers, but they are certainly fast enough to schedule replenishment whenever necessary, meet the CSG or the ARG, replenish them, and then split up again.
