Wow! this is a big day for CV-17 and all those who have worked so hard to get her "launched"!, indeed for all of China!
I am looking forard to seeing pics of her at sea.
It would be neat if they had a visit from the Liaoning...also, if she goes to trials soon, that the Type 055 can be seen with her either this time around or in a future trial.

Thanks for posting Jeff..The Chinese sailors must be very disciplined. You never see any sailors wandering around the flight deck or checking the scenery out when their carriers go to sea. Of course the crew is not as large. But still this may be many of these PLAN sailors first time at sea. I'm assuming the crew is manning their stations for the "Special sea and anchor detail". It seems to me though some of the newbies would be curious to watch the ship leave port.
Other than one or two, you can see quite a few on top of the bridge.

I've been in those situations entering and leaving Pearl Harbor where you either man the rails or be in whites. Or entering homeport in dress uniform manning the rails. But many times as picture below. USS Ronald Reagan leaving Yokosuka two days ago for local operations. Compare shipmates on the flight deck to CV-17.
The four sailors on the bow of the ski ramp are probably lookouts and lookouts in training....it is so interesting to me on how different navies of the World operate. The rest of the PLAN sailors you see on deck are probably lookouts and lookouts in training. There's a bunch of shipmates on the bridge as Jeff pointed out. I'd love to be aboard CV-17 just to check out the "show"!
