PLA Strategy in a Taiwan Contingency

I guess it depends on how old the Japanese animators are and what draft age Japan sets.

Live action production may actually increase as the war goes increasingly badly for Japan.

Thanks. Looks like China must step up the softpower game and fill the void but due to legality reasons some gaps may be harder to fill than others.

Personally, I disagree with much of the somewhat one-sided pro-Western script, and lean toward a blockade scenario, but I would like to hear more constructive criticism and argumentation, not just "Retarded video"

Literal Pro-Ukrainian YouTube Channel. If you want people to maybe comment then provide a summary of the video in a shorter form. I don’t know why you expect people to waste an entire hour listening to a channel that touts Pro-Ukrainian galactic spinning. When everyone knows Ukraine is going to lose.

the average person has no conception of how any modern weapon even works, nor do they really care to know. the point of a video such as this is not to elucidate you on military affairs but to start acclimatizing people to the very idea that ww3 will happen and to inform them who the 'good guys' and 'bad guys' are. painting your side as obviously winning is the surest way to recruit people onto your side, because everybody wants to be on the winning team.
the morality will always be rationalized after the fact.

In short, there's something like China immediately launching strikes on American bases in Guam and Japan, like Pearl Harbor. A dubious topic, which is why I posted the video for constructive criticism. Very optimistic for the defenders. very little about drones, not said about sea drones, long-range drones, drones of the uterus that can be anywhere, both as a diversion and as a method of attack. 50k Chinese? why not 5 million? airborne, helicopter landings, landings on civilian small ships and large tankers (zergrash). separately - several fronts will open - Korean, Philippine, Baltic. I find this video very interesting and informative, but very "limited" in its assessments.

Next time, provide a detail summary if you find the video interesting instead of wasting everyone’s time.

I don't think there's any constructive criticism to be found in this video. I admit that I couldn't stomach too much of it, but it seems like pure fantasy that ignores most of the realities surrounding a Taiwan conflict. Sure, it shares most of these flaws with the scenarios set by other Western analysts, but that's more a condemnation than it is an excuse. My general rule of thumb about this kind of scenario is that if it cannot understand that China will attack Taiwan when a red line is crossed, then it's not going to be worthless.

外交部:如日方胆敢武力介入台海局势 中方必将迎头痛击
Foreign Ministry: Should Japan Dare to Intervene Militarily in the Taiwan Strait Situation, China Will Deal a Devastating Blow

Lin Jian emphasized that Taiwan is China's Taiwan. How to resolve the Taiwan issue and achieve national reunification is China's internal affair, and no external forces should interfere. The Japanese government's attempt to meddle in Taiwan Strait affairs not only constitutes a flagrant violation of international justice and an open challenge to the post-war international order, but also severely damages China-Japan relations. Should Japan dare to intervene militarily in the Taiwan Strait situation, it will constitute an act of aggression, and China will strike back decisively. We will resolutely exercise our right to self-defense under the UN Charter and international law, and firmly defend our national sovereignty and territorial integrity. We solemnly warn Japan: It must deeply reflect on its historical crimes, immediately cease interfering in China's internal affairs and provocative actions that cross the line, and refrain from playing with fire on the Taiwan issue. Those who play with fire will inevitably burn themselves!

Later that day, the Beijing Daily also published a sharp commentary on Japan's controversial remarks regarding Taiwan:
日本有事就是日本有事
Japan's affairs are Japan's affairs.
The following is an excerpt.
Some Japanese individuals collude with pro-independence forces in Taiwan, fanning the flames by claiming "an incident in Taiwan is an incident for Japan." They should wake up sooner rather than later: stirring up trouble over Taiwan only invites trouble for Japan. As for Japan's own crises, they are Japan's own crises—kissing up to anyone won't help.

China is not the China of 80 years ago, much less that of 130 years ago. Japan's leaders may revel in making outrageous statements, but they must still weigh whether Japan can bear the cost. As former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama once remarked in mocking reference to Sanae Takaichi: "People often say that the smaller the dog, the louder it barks. The louder it barks, the more powerful an impression it gives, and the greater the expectations placed upon it—yet it remains no big dog. But today's Japanese society seems to favor those who bark the loudest." This, indeed, is Japan's tragedy.
