It's said that a new 8.6mm(.338 equivalent) high precision sniper rifle will show up at Zhuhai this year. It's apparently a product of Hu Nan Armory

8.6x70 is the same dimensions as .338 Lupua magnum.
However... That "Type 13" projectile.... yeah.... No.
The way it's pictured is to big to load in a magazine it's also not tapered enough for proper firing and why is it purple? Something about that seems... off. It looks like a Prop from the Runaway.

The article linked to it also to has errors. It mentions the U.S. LWMMG and claims it fires .338LM it doesn't it could but the case and shape are longer instead they chose .338 Norma Magnum (8.6x63mm) because they felt the cartridge would cycle better. He also claims it's based on M240 , this is wrong. It has as much in common with M240 as your car does the Moon buggy. The LWMMG is based on a recoil operation where the M240 is based on a long stroke gas piston. The tell of this is when firing the barrel of the LWMMG recepericates.

Found some rumours on this back in 2015, I think that autonomously guided bullet is pretty much confirmed to be a bait.

Wait is that Universal Camouflage Pattern? Really? HA HA!!

That's modern standard practice. It's practical. Unless there is a reason not to fold the stock like a bullpup or a semiautomatic action that reciprocates back to the stock there is no reason not to.
It also allows ease of carry most sniper rifles are longer then there infantry rifle counterparts especially if you add a sound moderator can. As such vehicle insertion or transport by air, sea or ground can get awkward even walking around can be a pain. Folding the stock eases these issues.
