PLA next/6th generation fighter thread

Russians are setting up the Su-57 as optionally-manned, the Americans have strong sensor fusion in the F-35, etc.

Not exactly ahead of the curve here, but reasonable as a set-up.

To some extent, 6th generation seems closer to a 5.5th generation, given that it's mostly an exaggeration of 5th gen capabilities.

===

Also, I'll point out that the most important factor is roughly the same I've been arguing for regarding the J-20; i.e, stealth aircraft require a larger payload capacity, especially since the F-35, having roughly the same payload capacity as a J-20, has set a new bar for stealth aircraft payloads.

The most important thing is that this is a basic modification possible to the J-20; i.e, a J-20 that's only moderately modified can achieve many 6th generation specs (improved stealth, improved payload) as long as the WS-15 is around to carry all the weight.

More conceptual research into 6th-gen configurations. Rear fuselage design for stable tail-less supersonic flight.

Surprisingly transparent. China will be flying this before India's AMCA investor scam project makes its way into a "finalised" plastic 1:10 model.

Decades ago it was "China can't build the J-10" to "the J-10 can't take off" to "the J-10 is all photoshopped fake" to "the J-10 is a copy of Lavi" (yes a copy of a half finished prototype lol that's still impressive even if totally true). Now all the trolls have is "50 cent army!" and "well it's Chinese quality!". The butthurt is strong. Turns out the real loser who couldn't build a fighter was and is India all along, shock horror!

Mighty Tejas with a whopping 10 or so in service after YEARS of LRIP. I reckon PLAAF 6th gen will be in flight tests while the Tejas is getting MK2 upgrades.

India doesn't matter. The Indians are mellowing out and wiser voices are telling me:

1- They expect the US to collapse and become irrelevant; I've had to tell them the USAF and USN are still surprisingly potent until budget cuts go in.
2- Chinese economic cooperation is indispensible if they want to be something other than a third-world country.

What does this have to do with a 6th gen fighter from China?

He's bashing the AMCA F-22 clone. I'm saying don't bash because it's effectively child abuse; it's known what Indian procurement capabilities and development capabilities are, it's bad, and it doesn't make China look better by comparison.

And likewise, let's be honest about 6th gen. The concepts in development look great, but we don't even have a rollout of 300 J-20s yet. The sixth gens as proposed in the image are going to be waiting on WS-25 or whatever engines that are needed to make them work, and WS-15 hasn't IOC-ed yet.

I would love for them to just come out and show something. You rarely get an aircraft out of the blue, but we can dream lol!

I think this is more of an aerodynamic concept since I don't see a lot of room for weapons bay, which admittedly is a shortcoming for aircraft with belly-intake.
