Poland is a strange country nowadays.
how doesAny country which is ally of Russia, is treated differently by countries like Poland. What's troubling is that there are still those who believe that Russia today, is the same as the Soviet Union. For starters, Russia today is closer in affinity to the Russia at the time when the Czars (actual Russians) ruled the Russian Empire. The Soviet Union was a creation of the Bolsheviks after they brutally slaughtered the Russian Czar and his entire family. Russians are predominantly Orthodox Christians, the Soviets had no clue what their faith was. The Russians lived under brutal dictatorship and endured oppression under Soviet Communist rule, the Bolsheviks were tyrants and weren't Orthodox Christians. So the Russia today and the ones who rule it, are actual Russians, NOT some minority, barbaric, demons like the Bolsheviks were. Their barbarity was not exclusive to the Russians, the Ukranians, Pols and other former republics of the former Soviet Union, were also subjected to the same barbarity as the Russians themselves endured. And it is this fact, that the Eastern European countries have failed to recognize. I compare the Bolsheviks brutal take over of Russia to that of the Nazi taking over Germany. It was not one, but two nations which were hijacked by non-represented groups that exploited their predicament.
Countries like Poland, Ukraine and etc, need to understand that they need not be fearful or have this unfounded phobia of the Russian Federation. They aren't the ones who will invade them, it's quite the opposite of that. It is the scare mongering, the exploitation of their past experiences with the Soviet Union, that some Western countries are using to their advantage.
Peace is achieved when intentions are clear, un-influenced, not corrupted and honest. Europe and the Russian Federation can co-exist, peacefully. If only these senseless, mindless ploys aren't exercized out of phobia. Russians have shown time and again that they want peace and they want to co-exist in a world that isn't under anyone's hegemony. Give them a chance, without the dirty politics we so often play. One will find a genuine friend in Russia, both in the East and West. It's tiresome, it is needless to overarch one's influence over others. The world does not have the appetite for another Cold War. The world is tired of the same bullshit with a different packaging. We all can live in peace, but for that to happen, we need to find peace within ourselves.

but delft I now used google.pl to search for alleged Chinese Navy visit, found nothing "scheduled" or your "reportedly" claim ... fake news?CHINA
A South China Sea Fleet task group (destroyer “Hefei”, frigate „Yuncheng“ and replenishment ship „Luoma Hu“) has skipped a scheduled visit to Gdynia (Poland) ... reportedly were „uninvited“ ... ships passing the Baltic Approaches on home transit
(rmks: deployed for exercise with the Russian Navy and participated in Russian Navy Day celebrations)
Earlier editions of the Daily News had said the Chinese ships would visit Gdansk ( and I wondered about it ) so now they say it didn't happen. Perhaps the earlier news was fake. They often don't give a source for their items.inside:

but I now used google.pl to search about Chinese Navy visit, found nothing "scheduled" or your "reportedly" claim ... fake news?
(I think would've made a big story of it)
all I saw were cautions articles about increasing pressure in the Baltic Sea due to that Russian-Chinese drills
(for those who don't know it: Polish is my first language LOL in particular concerning naval matters)
good, now anybody can decide if the Chinese had, or hadn't, been invited, or invited and uninvited LOLEarlier editions of the Daily News had said the Chinese ships would visit Gdansk ( and I wondered about it ) so now they say it didn't happen. Historically, Crimea had been a part of Russia. As far as records go, after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Naval bases were leased to Russia in Crimea. If Ukraine, had not been so vicious in its dealings with Russia, and if the hostilities were dialed down. Then Russia would not have had to take such drastic measures. Crimea was and is the only warm water port that Russia has access to. With Ukraine swept off it's feet by the West (no harm done here), it became emboldened and aggressive toward Russia. Instead of using this new found interest from the West to its advantage. Where Ukraine could have become the bridge between Western Europe and Russia. It would have benefited from both sides and would have been in an enviable, economic golden zone. Instead, Ukraine chose to "ban" the Russian language countrywide among other hostile policies. Russia was content with leasing Sevastepol after the collapse of the Soviets. However, with a hostile Ukraine, it was likely the Russia would have lost a home port to its entire Black Sea fleet. Intent was visible for all to see, that in the many years that Ukraine was a free country. Russia never invaded Crimea and had a civilized agreement of leasing the port.
Today, after showing much restraint, Russian Federation made the hard choice. Given that peace was never allowed to progress.
