50 years ago there was no such thing as an MRE. They were introduced in 1981. Before that point it would have been canned rations.50 years ago, US MRE was very “WASP”, now they try to accommodate Asian tastes, Latino tastes, etc.
Doesn't the rice in the Type 17 have fiber? For the sake of all soldiers everywhere, they really need to change the formula for these f***ing "MREs"... They have zero fiber and require a boat load of water to pass through the intestines. I've heard stores of SEAL platoons surviving on cookies and gummy bears for weeks just to avoid eating this crap. The best sitrep on MREs was given by Al Franken on his 'morale' tour to Iraq: "I've only eaten MREs since I landed a week ago, and so far, none of them have an exit strategy."
If it's white rice. Brown rice and other similar has good fiberrice has very little fiber in it generally

I am well aware of the political videos however I didn’t post one did I? Unless rations are political.
C-Ration or whatever, you understood what I meant.
I was accusing you of being political, just that people are starting to get worked up about food of all things.
