In the above post, the most interesting thing to me is the earthmoving vehicle in the bottom picture, on the far right. I don't know much about earthmovers, but nevertheless when I saw this vehicle, it immediately struck me as unusual. I thought: That does *not* look like a typical front-end loader or backhoe loader, or even a militarized modification of one; it looks more purpose-built. Fortuitously, while browsing CDF, I found two other Peace Unity-2024 pictures showing the same vehicle. Here are the three pics (the one from by78's post above and the two from CDF), cropped/edited to isolate the vehicle:

Curious, I looked up front-end loaders and backhoe loaders in military service, and came across the JCB High Mobility Engineer Excavator (HMEE):

The Chinese earthmover at Peace Unity-2024 has quite a similar look to the HMEE. So now I'm wondering if it's a Chinese HMEE equivalent.

One might ask: What's so special about the HMEE, it's just another backhoe loader, right? No. One of the claimed advantages of the HMEE over a conventional loader is that it has a top speed of 60 miles per hour and can thus self-deploy, i.e., it can get to the "job site" under its own power, and doesn't need to be trailered or trucked in.

(Apologies if this Chinese earthmover has been discussed here before. I searched but did not find any mention of it.)

Good question

This vehicle was indeed developed in cooperation with non-Chinese suppliers
