All Branches of the PLA Will Start to Phase In Type 21 Working Uniform and Service Uniform

With the approval of the Central Military Commission, all branches of the military will begin to replace type 21 working uniforms and service uniforms this winter.
This replacement work highlights the practicality of actual combat and utility, implements the requirements of diligence and thrift, insists on being stable and orderly, optimizing the innovative variety series, color schemes, style structure and material craftsmanship. It is a remarkable step of improving the quality of military uniforms, building a military uniform system of the new era with our military characteristics and better serving for the preparation for war.
The type 21 working uniform mainly includes camouflage working uniforms, special service working uniforms and combat shoes (and boots); The categories availabe are more abundant and complete. The type 21 service uniforms are designed with jacket styles, distinguishing between spring/autumn and winter variants using new branch colors, together with combination (and bucket) caps, dress leather shoes and other varieties. These two types of uniforms will be issued to all branches in batches and district by districts. After the first issuing of the new uniforms, officers and soldiers can request additional uniforms online through the Garment Precise-Request Platform according to their actual needs.
