Beijing aims to be able to bomb US with its new H-20
The development of China’s new heavy strategic bomber, coded H-20, has been going on for five straight years, with the mechanical master design believed to have been finalized.

Beijing wants its H-20 to be able to fly close to the west coast of the United States, and from there fire conventional or nuclear cruise missiles against US targets.

Thus the H-20 has to be a giant leap forward from the People’s Liberation Army’s currently fleet of H-6 bombers, whose bulky airframe and limited range have been a big drag on its strike capabilities.

Analysts say the H-20’s operational radius must reach 5,000 kilometers, while also having a payload capacity of 25-30 tons so as to carry multiple missiles, such as KD-20s, the air-launched variant of the CJ-10. The engine is thus a vital determinant.

Don't exist Strategic Bombers capable going from USA to China or Russia and and the opposite the CR max in average is for Tu-160M95/B-52H 7300 km, B-1B 6000 and B-2 5500 km for a LACM Attack add 1500 - 3000 km dépends missiles Kh-101/102 have the more long range

Distance

center USA where are the 5 Bomber bases - Moscow 8800 km

But as have pointed recently Gloire a weapons is not build only for a theorical ennemy country

This article's choice of words is so revealing of this agenda to play up a China threat. They immediately assume and incite the idea that this bomber's sole purpose is to rain down bombs on the US. Sort of like how Allies rained down bombs on Japan and Germany. Or Japan and Germany raining down bombs on Allies. They use their own standards to measure others. So pathetic. Cannot f**king stand this thinking. It's pushing everyone towards war when no one (especially Chinese) really want it. War for China especially against US is the last thing it wants with all this new found potential, wealth, development, and built infrastructure. Yet articles like these ALWAYS paint China in some negative light like a global bogeyman when it was the west that terrorised the world for a century. Not Chinese. Chinese Communist Party's greatest crimes against humanity was mostly committed on it's own people like most revolutions. It wasn't even as bloody as many other less well known revolutions despite the giant size of the population. I'm not condoning them and the old school reds certainly deserve no love from me but I hope people can see the bias many in the west hold China in. Whatever "crimes" CPC threaten the world with have yet to materialise despite the best efforts of the liberal media to paint China in this way. Whatever crimes they have committed is not even a snowflake on the iceberg that other's have committed all around the world in the past. They are the same people servicing the same agendas that speak negatively of China. Such irony.

I should edit and say (in case people read this incorrectly again and think it's somehow anti-west), the "West" is not one entity that conforms to one set of ideologies without being dynamic in its thinking. There are factions of the West that are pro-China in their being pro-Communists or pro-Chinese people etc. China's economic rise is not done without certain benevolence from many factions of the West (free enterprise and capitalism) but it must be said that Chinese leaders took these opportunities and exploited them to the benefit of most Chinese citizens. So I will repeat that it is certain parts of the media that love parroting this theme and making ordinary and less informed (also less intelligent) western citizens become fearful and hateful of China and Chinese people. The racism most of us experience on a nearly daily basis is one product of this line of thinking. It all starts with bullshit like "China building bombers capable (read: intending to) of striking the US" etc etc etc... One piece of this machine steering the world to WW3. When it comes, don't blame Chinese again.

Okay. But just one post pointing out the glaringly obvious retardedness of this article? I get this shouldn't be for political purposes but maybe just shining a light on the often ignored helps a little especially considering that most observers of these military forums are people who are EXTREMELY political. And it's not exactly off topic since the article posted is here and we if we can comment on its validity, why can't we comment on its obvious and offensive political bias?

most of us recognize the bias, and of the people who don't, the risk is that those people might get into a big OT political discussion on the basis of pointing out the bias.

unless something is really really out of line, it is of little use to point out bias in my experience
