4x Y-20s + what looks like 4x H-6s and 6x fighter sized a/c (you may be excited if you go see which types) have seemingly been hanging out at 唐山三女河 (old J-7 ramp) since late May, presumably for the parade. Notable not only for any Tangshanites who may have a flight out of or into there soon, but also for the fact that the field similarly hosted what I assume were parade a/c back in June 2015 (infinity H-6s) and other deployments in September 2016 (crapton of Flankers) and late 2019 (H-6s).

(note: user location does say Heilongjiang, buut who knows, a friend sent me that and I blame him if it is ultimately unrelated) which shows some formation flying with a Y-20 and 2x H-6s, so I feel safe concluding that this continues to be an airbase used to host rotational deployments for airshows (and presumably operational use when needed), and that some or all of the Y-20/H-6 trios seen rehearsing are deploying out of this base.

This is also a neat opportunity to see China embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into its airfield operations. Unlike the 2015 and 2017 deployments which were seemingly ~unit-sized deployments of single types amidst the field's active operational use, these are all (approooooximately) Dadui-sized (Equitable!) groups of rather dissimilar aircraft (Diverse!) operating without visible pre-deployment preparation or augmentation of the host's Airfield Station force simultaneously (Inclusive!), and implies that either the field's support personnel are just goated and can work on anything with two wings and thrust despite the base seemingly no longer supporting an active Brigade/Regiment, or that the support personnel from deployed units/higher echelon support entities are able to deploy to """unfamiliar fields""" (their own parlance) without compromising operations at originator fields. Further, this being the case even for Bomber/Transport aircraft organized under the traditional Division/Regiment model (presuming the Y-20s and H-6s are not from Brigade-organized units... yes this post is bait to get someone to go check SNs) is somewhat notable given their less "modular" nature and demand for higher echelon support in most circumstances.

Separate attached image is just a spacing/size comparison for various a/c in the current publicly available low res and some scale matched higher res shots of the same ramp with known a/c types.

Couple of quick corrections:

- The 4x H-6 count was based on a prior assumption I had since corrected, I strongly suspect only 3 are present
- Noting the approximately Dadui-sized deployment is probably accidentally misleading, I just wanted to find a way to fit Equity into my description and chose apportionment as the method to do so - my personal belief is that 3-4x J-16 or FLANKER pattern a/c are present, along with 2-3x J-20
- Noting the lack of markings on the Y-20 in that video was probably unnecessary, since I moderately suspect 2-3x are indeed YY-20s

Additional note:

For many of the parade rehearsal videos, I invite you to count the number and type of aircraft seen at one time. It is indeed interesting that there appears to be ~2x YY-20s shown at a time, potentially 3x, with frequent arrangements of 1x YY-20, 2x FLANKER; 1x YY-20, 2x J-20, 1x FLANKER; 1x YY-20, 1x J-20, 1x FLANKER; as well as what appear to be separate formations of 1x Y(Y)-20 and 2x H-6. I'm not entirely convinced that this deployment does not represent most - though almost certainly not *all* - of the rehearsal video aircraft we have seen to date from mainland social media. I believe

From 4:58-5:35 in the video linked, it looks like the same sequence as in the video posted by another member here:

[1x YY-20 + 2x J-16]
[1x YY-20 + 2x J-20]
[1x YY-20 + 1x J-16 + 1x J-20]

This perfectly matches the sequence in the previously linked video, just missing the H-6s and the additional YY-20:

[1x YY-20 + 2x H-6]
[1x YY-20 + 2x J-16]
[1x YY-20 + 2x J-20]
[1x YY-20 + 1x J-16 + 1x H-6 + 1x J-20]

Assuming the overall thread of logic holds, perhaps all 4 of the Y-20 pattern a/c based at the field are indeed YY-20s, and that video I noted as showing a Y-20A due to the lack of visible positioning markings was either an error on my part in missing those, or could have been simply to transport personnel/material as part of the parade deployment and is unrelated to which aircraft are rehearsing currently. This would imply a total of 4x YY-20, 3x H-6, 3x J-16, and 3x J-20, which would indeed line up with what is seen in the imagery.

Interesting, but since it was seen at Malan AB and not at Xi‘an-Yanliang, I think it is more likely „just“ a huge so far unknown UAV.

Wow... Is AVIC the only company that makes all this aircrafts?
