Looks like the J-10B got their revenge on the Su-35 for the 2017 loss.

honest speaking, I would never image J-16 was catalogued as a bomber and drop unguided bomb before this Aviadarts-2021...

btw what is the "long-range" mentioned in the report?

Sorry for asking stupid questions, but is there any context concerning the 314 points and 323.5 points? (so I can get an idea of how their performances are)

Is the Aviadarts competition anything like the tank biathlon that Russia hold each year. There is something fishy about that competition since Russia somehow come out on top year after year no matter what.

...what do you think...

I think yankesama once wrote something about this before, how speed limitation changes, or suddenly some height requirements popped out or got removed randomly, but after all, it's more like a practice on how Russian was trained on certain tactics, so they supposed to some edges

These types of competitions are not about piloting or driving skills. Or is it about technological abilities of the platforms. Its about politics. By being at these types of events that the Russians are organizing China is showing Russia political support. In that context its not polite to upstage the host. I'm not saying that the Russians would have lost for sure if China gave it all. But i'm quite certain there were instructions to the Chinese teams before leaving for Russia to aim for the second place.

Politics AND economics. Imagine what would happen if China won both the Aviadarts and Tank Biathlon competitions continuously. Chinese equipment would gain more and more attraction and Russia might have to give up part of their market share. The worst part in this scenario is that the Russian economy will take a big hit, and this doesn’t serve the Russians nor the Chinese well. Fortunately the Chinese economy doesn’t depend on military exports for sustenance, so they can take this reputation hit.
