There's also a null hypothesis for the Chengdu production. That is to say, a J-20B/C with WS-10 plus TVC or WS-15 plus TVC could be the new Chengdu ifighter.

A J-20 with a new DSI bump is almost certainly a WS-15, but a J-20 without a DSI rework and TVC nozzles may be only a WS-10XX with TVC added on. To put it another way, a WS-10X or WS-10XX is unlikely to require a DSI modification, but a WS-15 is much more likely to do so.
