What about the pilot ? Did he survive ? I sure hope so. Towards the end of the video,one can see what appears to be a deployed parachute.
It seems so. There's a picture of a deployed parachute draped across a roof:
So far, there does not seem to be any deaths or injuries.
They need to retire the JH-7 platform. Responsible for a significant portion of accidents in PLAAF and PLANAF.
The J-16 seems to have been given priority in construction so they already seem to be working on replacing it.
Even if it wasn't for the airframe losses, the J-16 is a lot better specs-wise.
77% more dry engine thrust, higher flight ceiling, higher top speed, higher range, more hardpoints, etc. Way more capable aircraft.

Comparing the J-16 to the JH-7A is akin to comparing the F-15SG to the Tornado GR1; there is no comparison.
Anyone know if this was a JH-7 or a JH-7A, or have any other footage of the crash site?
