The first submarine (5th of the class) built in Pakistan, to be named PNS Tasnim, is nearing its launch.
The Indian Navy currently has 12 operational P8I (Neptune), with an additional 6 to 12 under consideration.
However, its focus is shifting towards acquiring advanced platforms such as the Barracuda-class, Type 218, and Type 209NG submarines to counter the growing capabilities of the Pakistan Navy’s underwater fleet.
With the ongoing induction of Hangor-class submarines and the anticipated procurement of S1000-class (AIP-SSPs) from Italy, contracts for which are reportedly in advanced stages. Pakistan is poised to significantly enhance its undersea warfare capabilities."
Yep yep, Previous the part of the missile/rocket was under the arty core and under the 'nuclear command authority' prob because most of their long range missiles can also carry nukes.
But they are making non nuke variants of their missiles and took them out from NCA prob so they could use them more easily without raising more alarm bells
