Lol. As per the writer in editorial page, author claims that J-20 has already been inducted in PAF. J-35 will reach PAF in August. A discounted deal of 50% has been signed. So all the good good good for Pakistan.

Now, the writer is a seasoned and respected political activist but when you dont know about something, its good to keep ones mouth shut. Better silent than sorry.

Alright I went back to Jan 2024 and read it forward from there,
Only found one main post from sept 2024 About Pakistan getting J31's (few others) mentioning this, But PAF officially had put out this statement on Jan 2024 Attached Picture

News about The Pilots being sent to train in china was aired in Local news around august 2024, So they could already be there for months.
Now I dont know if they get the J31(which reportedly had delays) Or the J35, but it be something to see any one by end of year.

Network-Centric Warfare and Pakistan’s Tactical Data Link Capabilities

Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) is a modern military doctrine focused on using information superiority and seamless networking to gain a combat edge. By connecting sensors, decision-makers, and shooters across all domains, NCW enhances situational awareness, accelerates decision-making, and boosts overall combat power.

Key elements of NCW include:
  • Information Superiority: Access to accurate, real-time data is critical for swift, effective responses.
  • Integrated Networking: Enables coordination among dispersed units through secure communication systems.
  • Enhanced Combat Power: Networked forces respond faster and more effectively to threats.
  • Improved Decision-Making: A shared operating picture ensures quicker, informed decisions.
  • Unified Situational Awareness: All connected forces maintain a common understanding of the battlefield.
Pakistan’s Tactical Data Link Systems – Link 16 and Link 17 play a vital role in enabling NCW capabilities.

Link 16, a NATO-standard data link, facilitates secure, high-speed information sharing across air, land, and sea forces, enhancing joint operations and interoperability.

Link 17, Pakistan’s indigenous data link, complements this by offering secure communication tailored to national requirements, ensuring operational independence.

These systems played a crucial role during recent clashes with India, where real-time situational awareness and rapid coordination between platforms proved decisive. Their integration enabled Pakistan’s armed forces to respond swiftly and effectively, underscoring the operational value of a robust network-centric infrastructure.

Janes is no longer what it was
I am new to these things, so pardon my lack of knowledge about this, Jane is no longer what it was, it was what before?

could also mean 24 months?
Agreed. While there is hype going around for this year, I personally dont expect it to happen so soon. It be a huge surprise.

It could be they are copying what PAF put out last year in jan, they mentioned FC-31 in the presser.

The current Pakistani Chief of Air Staff wants to leave behind the fifth generation aircraft induction as his legacy so there is some strong substance to the claims but the nature of a "few months" by officials is in my opinion very fluid. It could mean upto a year and potentially extended upto 2 years. Few months seems overly optimistic.

I also hear China has been pushing Pakistan to better secure its coastline and in this area Pakistani pilots will train in China in anti-ship missions.
