Al-Khalid

Based on the type 90, Al-Khalid was domestically manufactured by HIT using 120hp Ukrainian engines; 300 units were built up until 2006–2007.

Al-Khalid I

The Al-Khalid/VT-1A is a main battle tank family developed jointly by Norinco of China and Heavy Industries Taxila of Pakistan. The tank is based on the Type 90-II tank. Around 310 Al-Khalid MBTs had been produced by 2014 with few modifications on original Al-Khalid design.

Al-Khalid II

Is an improved variant of the Al-Khalid series that has a more potent 1500hp Ukrainian engine (Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building (KMDB) 6TD-2) and various other changes. Currently, 150 are in active service of the 200 units that were planned in 2016–17.
