Being Aussies, Canberra's crew certainly won't miss a chance to take a side trip to Beijing. Here are some of them in front of the Temple of Heaven.

And some more on the Great Wall of China...

Can't agree with you more popeeye... I really wish those reports of increased military ties btw China and the US are true. Think having a beer is the best way to nurture goodwill among militaries! And on the subject of China/US I want to post some pics of US visits to Chinese ports...here they are for those interested

These pics are of the USS Abraham Lincoln visiting Hong Kong on the 24th Dec. 2004... she was due to spend a few days over the Xmas period in the city but unfortunately, just 2 days later a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck causing the devasting Asian Tsunami. The Lincoln CSG was immediately dispatched to Sumatra to help with rescue/relief efforts.

The U.S. Seventh Fleet Band performs at a public concert in People's Square Park in Zhanjiang(same as where the Koreans perfomed). The concert was a joint performance with the PLAN band. Over 5,000 people were on hand to enjoy a mixture of military marches, pop songs and show tunes!!!
