if you are saying that American actions since 9/11 has been too much and is generating blow back effects and hatred in Islamic world, many Americans would agree with you there. In fact, part of Ron Paul's campaign is against this kind of behaviour. But whatever America did in those countries, it has hurt America more than anything else in terms of troop casualty, extra financial burden that it cannot afford and lost of moral authority around the world.

Now, I don't see why American celebration over OBL's death has to turn into a judgment on its foreign policy.

I've stated it before and I'll state it again. tphuang is the most balanced, honest and fair person posting in this forum. Period. If more of we humans were like him the World would be a better place.

Pardon this rather Machiavellian thought, but from a great powers perspective, to China, Osama was a welcomed distraction for the US, offering it at least 10 years out of the limelight. From the tension in the spring of 2001 with the air collision and the rhetoric coming out of the PNAC, it looked like storm clouds were brewing. I wonder if a few men in gray suits in zhongnanhai are offering a ganbei for Osama's passing.

In all fairness its not as if the period of the 'war on terror' has been free of tensions and sinophobia, but China has benefited greatly in that China has become vital to the US as a major foreign creditor, now a market and investor, far more than a decade ago, a return to the hostilities and pseudo cold war state of the 1990s it unlikely.

I've had that thought at the time too, and by all validity, I agreed to it too. Bin Laden really stole the spotlight from PRC for the time being while he's around, however even if I was given a choice of whether having a world with Osama and the US continues to pursue him, or one where he's dead and that gradually the US focuses back on China, I'd still prefer to pick the former. This is because Osama.inc is truly a human security, as his terrorist methodologies can inspire others. AQ (also an abbrv. for a building at my university campus) can inspire more than just AQI, AQAP, but also East Turkanistan separatists and different groups bent on similar doctrines around the world..there are no deductive answers that the next bombing won't happen outside your doorstep. Finally, even without OBL, Washington can still find itself someone to be busy with if they really want; Kim and Iran are prime examples, whether or not they truly deserve this attention.

In addition, I do back up on tphuang on this because even as I've seen tphuang's posts and I agree with popeye's statements. Also for even someone like me, I tend to like to take advantage of my background to provide constructive and valid criticisms to whichever parties without fearing being ad hominemed(not that I worry of that though, as I try to offer my criticisms based on reasoning), therefore I understand where tphuang's attention. It usually really is up to fair minds, with educated valid knowledge and experience, to point out what needs to be improved, in order for a chance to learn and improve.

Can this be happening? : Some historically "famous members" at THIS SDF has said something really crossed the line, so people can conclude and make an article with this title: "SDF is a RADICAL forum, people should reject whatever rubbish they posted!" - I mean, I would stand out and fight for SDF's name for that.

Both tphuang and BDP were picked up by me to be presented as mod's to Dongfeng in the past, and by questioning their objectivity you at the same time question mine. Im not sure what the other staff things of issues like that, but I have zero tolerance for it. If you don't like the members and adm. team of this forum, you can find some other place more suited to your taste.

I trust that this will be the last time I have to deal with you or anyone else over this sort of matter.

Now back on topic!

1) Civilian Sanctions against Iraq was initiated post-gulfwar I, OBL was not a factor in those consideration.
you can check Oxfam or any of those charity org's assessment on how many Innocent iraqi civilians died as a result of those sanctions.

2) I thought we are all suppose to be equal, that the suffering of one human being is worth no less than the suffering of another. Isn't that what this global ideology of Human Rights policy all boils down to?

or are you telling me, that the suffering and death of an Iraqi civilian is worth less the death of one american soldier?
