if you are saying that American actions since 9/11 has been too much and is generating blow back effects and hatred in Islamic world, many Americans would agree with you there. In fact, part of Ron Paul's campaign is against this kind of behaviour. But whatever America did in those countries, it has hurt America more than anything else in terms of troop casualty, extra financial burden that it cannot afford and lost of moral authority around the world.
Now, I don't see why American celebration over OBL's death has to turn into a judgment on its foreign policy.
