I think this will lead to China and Russia making their own facilities independent of CERN.
yeah.. but timing is very interesting

China opens 12 nuclear research facilities to global scientists

These include the China Advanced Research Reactor, the new-generation tokamak device Huanliu-3, and the Beishan Underground Research Laboratory, Liu Jing, vice chairman of the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), said at a meeting on the sidelines of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) annual general conference.

The facilities span areas such as basic nuclear research, isotope production, nuclear environment simulation, equipment testing, and radioactive waste treatment and disposal.

From world's largest producer of Uranium. Kazakhstan sold 85% of its Uranium to China and Russia (45% for China and 40% for Russia). Russia seems to be enriching them and re-exporting them abroad.

Compared to 2023, this has already dropped in terms of % going to America. Whereas % to Russia is going up. So Russian sanctions making harder for Kazakhstan to sell to Western countries.

in order to not deal with Russian sanctions, Kazakhstan is looking to export through Alashankou to Shanghai. Where you can have major uranium trading hub in Alashankou.

Update from Kazatomprom indicates that all its new production going to Rosatom and existing production is going to fill 23000 tU warehouse in Alashankou, China.
