Diameter of nozzles for 80 ton engine used seems to be 72 centimeters.


Diameter of nozzle for Hwasong-7 is 62 centimeters.

72 centimeter nozzle is enough to support 40 ton force of thrust.

62 centimeter nozzle is enough for up to 30 ton force of thrust.

Hwasong-14 has no comparable missile to it to exact details.

Besides diameter and thrust being close to close to R-21/SS-N-5 Serb:

Difference being Hwasong-14 has second stage.

Hwasong-15 comparable to UR-100/SS-11 Sego.

Hwasong-17 comparable to UR-100N/SS-19 Stiletto.

Yet fuel load and thrust is closer to R-26/SS-8 Sasin.

The two Tuman-class prototype/laboratory ships were modified several times, experiences that were then used to build the two Amnoks. These, too, are experimental ships, used to test what the North Korean military industry could provide at a given time.
Certainly, during the Kim Jong-un era, there was a huge acceleration in the modernization of every military and civilian sector, leading to the achievements we often observe with amazement today. But it must not be forgotten that this was also possible thanks to those who laid the foundations for making it possible, namely the Kim Jong-il era, the period that gave rise to the Amnok and Tuman classes, as well as the FAC surface-effect missiles, including the development of their armament, such as the Kh-35-like missiles or the development of the 30mm CIWS with rotating barrels, not to mention the first acquisitions of the 76/62 mm guns, etc.
