West coast is overall guarded by the presense of PRC alone. I.e. there is no special need for large combatants there.
And not just any presense, any military activity on western coast of DPRK is direct threat to the capital region. And with China's national so firmly fixed around japanese invasion, which just happened to go through this very axis ... it will be reacted upon. I.e. it isn't even matter of allied commitments, any such move is essentialy pointing knife to PRC's throat, and everyone in the region knows very well.
McArthur hubris could happen only once, and only because he was an incredibly clueless buffon.
Poor sods, going out at night to feed their families only to get blasted away by ghosts for no reason.
It seems a staple of any Trump administration to attack others while pretending to negotiate with them. But peace president and art of the deal.
What kind of listening device can allow them to eavesdrop on NK officials?
Laser/directional microphones, tapping devices on optical cables, elint antennas...
