What the...?! I keep finding myself saying that so often these days when following DPRK. So i guess such mindbogglingly fast weapon testing can be explained by the fact that most/all weapon systems are mature. It appears there is still work to be done on the propulsion system as the ship does not appear to be underway though.

Close-up photo of the so-called "supersonic cruise missile" that North Korea tested on the new destroyer.

It looked unlike anything I had ever seen before. Looks like the top half of the missile is triangular (instead of cylindrical like a typical missile) with the bottom being at the underside, vaguely reminding me of a hypersonic glide vehicle.

Thank God, it looks like the small VLS cells contain Pongae-6/Pyoljji-1-2 long-range air defense missiles. I can only imagine how my heart would break if those launchers contained Tor missiles as some have speculated.
It was impossible, nothing to control Tor like missiles is even installed right now. Something tor-sized - maybe, but def not clos missile.

But yeah, this is a pleasant surprise.

Well it does remind me of the supersonic Kalibr, though of course it doesn't appear to be identical to it. But it looks like DPRK's interpretation of the concept.

Yankee and co speculated this as DPRK version of 3M-54E. Anyone has 3D model of YJ18/3M-54E and turn it around and see if it resembles it at such angle?

I wonder... they cleared and paved the area around the construction hall, but it's still empty so far.

However, I imagine the crane system and material yard next door could be completely renovated and extended over the paved area to create a second, longer construction hall.

Enough to build a longer and larger destroyer/cruiser inside...
