It sounds more like a Private Sale rather than a State Level Arms Deal.

Sounds like it on the surface but .. you can't just fly into DPRK and load your aircraft without the approval of the DPRK approval. It's just not going to happen. Perhaps these private citizens made a deal with some DPRK officals...who knows for sure.

Very true Big Daddy. By Private Sale, I meant the sale by North Korea to private Individuals rather than another Government or even Political Grouping. I am quite sure the DPRK authorities were fully in the loop and receiving the cheque.

Proxies can not be ruled out either.

Maybe - or the foreigners were brought in to add a veil of deniability. Either way it's clear they were North Korean arms. Whether they're sold directly to another country or to a third party it's still sanctions busting. And of course if they're going to rebel groups they wouldn't be a state-state sale anyway.

it wouldnt surprise me that DPRK would make deals with mafias in the black market. but the deal does not necessarily have to be politically motivated though, DPRK does have a big appetite for cash LOL

Thats not the real ´atomic smurf´!:D

Actually the guy in the picture is a well known south korean Kim Jong-Il look-alike hired regularly for doing funny or not so funny stunts on Korean TV shows. What a job! Oh by the way honey: I'm a KJI double by profession...

I would be careful if I were him. Kimmy has a thing for body doubles, and kidnapping South Korean actors, so he's a prime target. Add to that the fact that he makes fun of the Dear Leader for a living and well I'm surprised he's still around.
