World's tallest bridge opened today, 625m above water level in Guizhou.

花江峡谷大桥是六安高速公路的关键控制性工程,连接贵州安顺市关岭县和黔西南州贞丰县两岸,因跨越被誉为“地球裂缝”的花江大峡谷而得名。大桥全长2890米,主桥跨径1420米,桥面到水面高度625米。大桥建成,主桥跨径居山区桥梁跨径世界第一、桥梁高度居世界第一,被称为“横竖”都是世界第一。大桥于2022年1月18日正式开工建设,2025年9月28日通车运营,历时3年零8个月。

China's all-superconducting magnet breaks through, setting a world record of 35.1 Tesla steady-state strong magnetic field.​


the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with several institutions, successfully developed a fully superconducting magnet system, achieving a 35.1T steady-state strong magnetic field in the early morning of September 27 and maintaining stable operation for 30 minutes.

This intensity is equivalent to 700,000 times that of the Earth's magnetic field, setting a new record for steady-state strong magnetic fields in my country.

superconducting magnets are one of the core components of magnetic confinement nuclear fusion devices. They are like a "magnetic cage" that allows high-temperature plasma to "burn" safely..

I think this is the most interesting industry which shows China's rise as a real high tech manufacturing power, not just low to middle tier items. Moreover, if green Harmonic offers similar products to the best Japanese/German for half the price,then i believe they will soon dominate China market share more than the 30% they currently have now. i'm sure 2 years from now they will push out the Germans and Japanese from this market in china at least.

the first centrifuge main engine was activated at the Hypergravity Centrifuge Simulation and Experimental Facility, a major national scientific and technological infrastructure located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. This facility will provide a "hypergravity field" thousands of times stronger than Earth's gravity for scientific research, achieving a "time-space compression" effect and providing key support for numerous research fields.

The first centrifuge to be commissioned, the "CHIEF1300," has a capacity of 1300 g·t (gravitational acceleration per ton), making it the world's largest centrifuge. Furthermore, the "CHIEF1500" and "CHIEF1900," with capacities of 1500 g·t and 1900 g·t, are currently under installation.

The Hypergravity Centrifuge Simulation and Experimental Facility is a large, complex scientific experimental facility that integrates a hypergravity field with an extreme environment. Its 18 onboard devices cover a wide range of fields, including deep-sea and deep-earth resource development, disaster prevention and mitigation, underground waste disposal, and the preparation of new materials.
