“In 2020, we worked with one coal mine, one iron and steel plant, and one port,” said Ren Zhengfei, Huawei’s founder and chief executive, during a round table meeting in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi, in February. “Over the next two to three years, we aim to work with hundreds of coal mines, iron and steel plants, and ports.”

That is what I thought this entire United States government versus Huawei 5G war was all about. Huawei was going to get there first, and achieve first mover advantage, then dominate the market in both hardware and applications.
(Apparently it really was about something else, what people are saying today, seems like there is some sort of attempt to change the narrative on why there was and still is a fight between the United States government and Huawei 5G).
The next two to three years, Huawei will be expanding its 5G installations, and 5G services to all sorts of industrial applications. Then they could host all the data generated on their Huawei 5G servers.
The next two to three years, the United States government will still be going around saying Huawei is bad, Huawei is a security risk, and Huawei should be banned.
The next two to three years, some people (mostly people working in the US Congress) will still believe that this United States government strategy is actually working, and that Huawei is about to collapse any moment.
Something is gotta give as them expressions go.
If you want some sour grapes from a certain country, go read those comments. They are at the end of their wits.
