Non–line-of-sight (NLOS) imaging can recover details of a hidden scene from the indirect light that has scattered multiple times. Despite recent advances, NLOS imaging has remained at short-range verifications. Here, both experimental and conceptual innovations yield hardware and software solutions to increase NLOS imaging from meter to kilometer range. This range is about three orders of magnitude longer than previous experiments. The results will open avenues for the development of NLOS imaging techniques and relevant applications to real-world conditions.

The US never takes responsibility. It's the US that gambled that China would blink first when they thought denying China technology it would surrender to the US. Now instead it will be looked upon in history as the day the US cut it's own throat and ended Western supremacy in the world. They need to control technology also meaning restricting others from getting it. So how is the US going to attract countries to their side when they're the one that will restrict it from them and also by their own words China will give it to anyone the West wouldn't dare without a high price beyond just money?

Did you get your feelings hurt? Because the term untrustworthy is perfectly normal to describe a business partner who fails to fulfill his obligations and is a warning just short of a ban to Chinese companies that want to rely on American technology.
Good point. I think China should keep mentioning this domestically and internationally at other countries, that the US is an unreliable business partner. There is no need for a ban (escalation) because domestically everyone is constantly getting the message from the government about this.

And western world government messages and China's government messages are taken by domestic businesses quite differently ;).

But iPhones are made in China and many Chinese suppliers and developers are involved in Apple products. Apple's success does still contribute to China which is partly why it has never been touched by China and the CCP have never allowed an anti-Apple sentiment to take over in response to Huawei bans. Who cares though Apple plays in the kids pool with boring common tech the most impressive is the OS and software. Huawei deals in every aspect of telecomm design, engineering, development, manufacturing, supply chain, hardware, software ... everything.

In terms of being a tech organisation Huawei is the Toyota or Honda (not limited to cars and does everything in house) while Apple is Ferrari. One seems impressive and important while the other is truly impressive and important. Why the US is so keen to ban Huawei's tech, copy and steal what they don't control and have, and destroy the organisation. The smarts and equipment/infrastructure would still be in China even if Huawei is killed which is quite unlikely as an organisation. Smartphones are a good industry and money earner but it's a fraction of Huawei and not even the most interesting aspect of what industries Huawei is involved in.

@ougoah Do you think the era of American software dominance will come to an end? or there will be a 2 system, I hoping HW Harmony OS will be as good as the Apple OS.
