The U.S. must do three things to lay the ground for establishing complete supply chain/reshore manufacturing:

1) Outlaw stock buybacks.
2) Outlaw meme/shit coins and crypto currency PRC style.
3) Tax stock holdings over 50 million dollars 95 percent regardless of transactions on them.

Unless the above three things are done, US has as good of a chance overcoming the rare earth ban as me becoming the CEO of NVIDIA.

You forgot having every single Wall Street and Capitol Hill blobs doing back-breaking labor in the plantations & deserts for 15 hours during the day, and doing rote memorization of Xi Jinping's Thought at night for 5-10 years.

I think most Americans agree that this is a superior outcome than them scheming over/executing the brutal violation of the American middle class.

But my point is that no one is going to put much effort into physical manufacturing when get rich schemes have far lower risk and have much better payouts.
