Yeah, exactly, agree completely.

This is the thing. Most people don't even know what a machine tool is.

CNC machine? What the heck is that?

The only industry that China is not number #1 or close to it, that is IC.

This is the way I look at it. If China master machine tools, it will become a world leader in IC.

CRRC unveils first hydrogen urban train. Before you laugh at this, there are real applications for hydrogen trains since you can expect to build overhead lines everywhere. At some point, countries will want to replace diesel trains with something & battery powered trains clearly can't go that far. You need something that can refuel a lot faster.

Still questioning the wisdom of hydrogen trains vs flex fuel ICE that can run on methanol, CNG or another hydrogen sink fuel. It's a lot easier to transform hydrogen into methanol or methane than to figure out how to store hydrogen safely IMO.

I understand that fuel cell engines exist with a methanol to hydrogen step, then use hydrogen. I'm not a SME so I don't know the energy balance of that vs a methanol ICE.
