Of course, Chinese researchers must not work too hard. Also, they must not be able to use advanced scientific instruments. Also, they must be sanctioned. Chinese people knowing how to do things is dangerous. We wouldn't want that.
Lol at the sour grapes
That's what I was about to say. For the selected few who are competent enough to serve their country, it is actually glorious die on one's job post (although this is still discouraged during peace time), as demonstrated by countless medical staffs in Wuhan during the outbreak. Thus, staying up until 2AM to finish a research project is nothing compared those who worked themselves to death during emergencies. For Chinese citizens who truly believe in the CCP's ideology, it would be sweet (if not a privilege) for them to be martyrs. As the last sentence of the CCP oath states, "be ready at all times to sacrifice my all for the Party and the people."@Tyler Sour grape, when you're in a competition everything goes. Its a supreme sacrifice and only a chosen few are selected to serve the motherland. So this crap article show why they are being beaten and are crying foul.
No matter how patriotic you are dying from overwork is just stupid. You can’t help anyone dead. That's what I was about to say. @ChongqingHotPot92 bro just as @latenlazy had said dying from overwork is stupid, BUT since we are human and dying is part of life having a martyrs dead is what we all seek, as we want to be remembered and be an inspiration for the next generation. That's what I was about to say. @latenlazy @ansy1968 Well that's why I said it is Chinese citizens who truly believe in and motivated by CCP's ideology would to sacrifice themselves during emergencies, not during peacetime. However, not all Chinese citizens believe in the CCP's ideology 100%, just like not all Americans believe in maintaining liberal hegemony through military power 100%. Just think about BLM, Antifa, etc. in America today. They don't want to die for the establishment. They want to overthrow the establishment if given the opportunity. Then in China, you have pro-west liberals, feminists, business elites, and civil servants disenchanted with the system, etc. who are either neutral and subtly voicing dissent against the Party-State system. Thus, only the most ideologically devoted (to the status quo power, ideals, and system) ones would be "stupid" enough to selflessly sacrifice in name of honour, duty, and fatherland.@ChongqingHotPot92 bro just as @latenlazy had said dying from overwork is stupid, BUT since we are human and dying is part of life having a martyrs dead is what we all seek, as we want to be remembered and be an inspiration for the next generation.
Cooperating via self compromising to stop a upcoming threat is not "Stupid", maintaining zero covid society not only help the country's economy, but also helps secure the manufacturing hub status of the nation, it ultimately benefits the citizen. self sacrifice has always been the status for higher valued characteristic of a society. Over working at 2am should be an act of self motivated, not state encouraged, people have the right to enjoy a 9 to 5 job with 2 or even 2.5 days off each week, but they also have the rights to over work themselves for the greater cause, but when the nation is under threaten by outside factor, the nation as a whole's interests should always be put on top of the personal interests, as every citizen not only have the rights, but also have the responsibility@latenlazy @ansy1968 Well that's why I said it is Chinese citizens who truly believe in and motivated by CCP's ideology would to sacrifice themselves during emergencies, not during peacetime. They are still buying a ton of robots and machines from Japan and Taiwan, instead of buying them locally?
