I’m wondering, why was it necessary to insert this frame, and even reverse video? Why did we never see the real reverse speed of the 99A in any of the reports, especially if the CH-1000 provides at least 3 reverse gears?

Sadly CCTV editors usually think the ‘rule of cool’ trumps authenticity, but their sense of what is ‘cool’ is...shit.

Indeed, it is not unknown for them to ask PLA troops to enact specific things and strike poses that they think is ‘cool’ but which the PLA troops themselves would never do in real life.
