Yo, name's FirstImpulse, I'm a freshman college student and author from Motown, otherwise known as Detroit in the US. I generally post on F-16.net but decided I needed a little more international exposure to further my research for my books.

Webby had stopped all new membership because of a spam attack. But a few days a go he opened up membership again after putting a few anti-spam controls in place.

From: Born in Beijing, grew up in the States, now in Chicago
Occupation: Consultant/PE operations associate (I work for a group that consults for other companies, and also has an in-house portfolio of companies which we also do operational improvements for).
Reasons for joining SDF: I joined SDF way back in the Gollevainen/SwimmerXC days, in my senior year of high school. I went through a phase where I wasn't really all that interested in China, but now I'm working on a long novel that's partially about a Third Sino-Japanese War, and I've rediscovered my original hobbies from long ago. Eager to be back.
Background: Finance/consulting, have done a bit of both in China and the States.
Things I like: half-price burgers and 2$ drafts with friends on Tuesday nights, writing, pan-frying a nice top sirloin with butter, garlic, onions, and peppercorns, and then pairing it with a glass of Shiraz - and reading SDF
Things I don't like: being wrong and having nobody around to tell me I'm wrong, and people that post online with latent racist undertones - Sinophobia especially, which has been on the rise across the internet since the mid-2000s

I'm a military enthusiast from Serbia , mostly interested in aviation . I'm here to share knowledge and learn new things . China interests me as a new and emerging world power and yet still bit of a "Unknown" entity . I don't like to talk much about myself , so this would be enough for the time being .
