To all new members, welcome to Sino-defenceforum.

May I ask what is Teochew?
As for hanqiang1011, have you went to the military yet?
We got a plane man? Hooray!!!!
The Teochew dialect, Chaozhou or Diojiu, is a dialect of the Chinese spoken variant of Minnan, spoken in the Chaoshan region of eastern Guangdong.

潮州話:) .

Oh! So that's wat it's called in English.
Err...... what does all the other pinyin mean? All I can figure is Chaozhou (潮州話) and Guangdong, the province.....

And thanks for that info. :)

Re: new members introduction thread - important that new members introduce themselfs!!!

Sorry, I joined the forum couple of weeks ago, and didn't realise that I have to introduce my self here until now.

I am living in a country called Australia, it lays between the south pacific and the Indian ocean.

I don't really understand the VIP rule, because I've seen many military enthuasists have far better knowledge on military matters than dumb soldiers who know very little about the world beyond their quaters.

But, after saying that, I am actually qualified to apply for VIP membership as I serve as an artillery signaller in the Australian Army reserve.

;) ;) ;) but dump soldier like us knows things no armschairgeneral can ever even dream of...facts can be read from books, but experience, one that you can only gain by actually serving gives your insigth to the facts that completes the vip-scene.

and to gain that status, e-mail to our webmaster and tell him about your service or make fifteen or so post and then you can send it via PM to him.

==Even though on arm chair, arm chair generals are still generals, they usually see the bigger picture, more perceptive to changes, and are often have a better understanding of ideas behind wars, so I would propose some sort of selection board, and any one can apply for VIP membership, and the selection board will review the posts made by the applicants and determine whether he/she is qualified for VIP memebership.
