I consider China as the ultimate counterbalance towards United States which I find it crucial to ensure power is not dominated by one but distributed among two or more countries.

Hi, followed the forum for many years, I' from eastern Canada. China is blossoming so much with new technology and harware, it's so interesting. I'm an aeronautics enthousiast with a bunch of family member in the military. My father is a civilian pilot and was a radar operator in his youth, my brother was a MP, handling security at the alert zone of a Canadian airbase and my wife is an artillery sergeant. Glad to see a bunch of enthousiast and many with deep knowledge !

I started following China after belt and road announcement, it caught my fantasy of what could be.
Over the last 4 years also got more interested in geopolitics and Asia's economic development in general.
On multiple subreddits i heard about this forum being mentioned and started lurking on and off over the years.

Now with second lock downs i though lets register.

I'm a former Hedge Fund Trader now turned software engineer looking for stuff to do. Speculating on PRC military buildup is a good way to kill time.
