Price war between Tesla and BYD is a long term thing. Right now. it is more about price war between EV and combustion vehicles. There is an aggressive price cuts for many major automakers in China at the moment. I think you can get a BMW 3 at 180,000 yuan or less with provincial government subsidies.

It's not very interesting right now, because it's a mess. It's everyone against everyone including legacy automakers. With that said, it seems that BYD still outsells Tesla 3:1 to 4:1 in China.
BYD is the best selling EV brand in Thailand and Israel in Feb again.

Same source claimed that mainlanders can’t afford tea eggs. Also, their Five Eye uncles love BYD and Atto 3 is the best selling EV in grand daddy Israel. Keep up the B.S. and they’ll get a much needed pimp slap from proud BYD owners.
