Then why not tariff EU vehicles with significant French, Polish, Czech, or Baltic origin components instead, whilst giving exemptions to EU companies that already employ thousands plus in China?

France does export aircraft components (Airbus), gas turbines, vehicle components, and even vehicles to China. Why not focus on targeting French-origin vehicles and vehicle components/parts then?
