Well, you know, the mods here would like us to comment on the articles we post, and I do have quite a few things to say, but that is not really related to the car itself, but more about business, and culture, as that kind of affects everything, even in car production.
Also, we keep coming back to a basic point, the outside world knows very little of China.
That is quite odd, given the amount of information we are fed nowadays, whether we want it or not.
What is surprising to read, and this is not the first I have read it, that the foreign car executives was taken totally by surprise by how competitive the Chinese EV is.
Well, like, duh!
Who has the biggest car market in the world?
China.
For the likes of GM, Germany auto, who is their most important market?
And these car executives got this blind spot for their competitors in the China market.
That is really hard to explain, or understand.
Then add in another crucial factor, the China speed factor, then it is like you are done like dinner.
Blah blah blah.
Look at it this way.
If you were the boss, then it is your job to know.
If you do not know, then you go under. That is how it works.
Information, and good information is key.
These foreign car companies, selling and making cars inside China for literally decades, had no idea of what is hit them.
That is hard to explain or understand.
Eat some toast for dinner I guess. Stick that fork into it. Yum yum!
