Differences between domestic and euro dolphin go beyond cosmetic. Euro variant is 20 cm longer. And has power train and battery closer to atto 3.
Not clear from the article is whether the longer car has more room inside or has it really been elongated just in the bumper sections.
Anyway, now the steep announced price tag for Europe makes a bit more sense.

I guess the first truly cheap byd car in europe will wait until seagull. Though it remains to be seen if that to is to grow a bit in size and specs.

Seeing a lot of news for German automakers saying that they are committed to the Chinese market.

The question is how far they are ready to take this commitment. Are they ready to have more Chinese in their boardrooms, executive team, as strategic advisors etc.

You can't just sit at your German office and take strategic decisions about your Chinese subsidiary when you don't have wide expertise about the Chinese car market in your executive team and your board of directors

BMW is getting hammered by LiAuto & Denza. It's a real problem. Audi is in even more trouble. Cadillac and Lexus all going down. With Denza N7 coming online this year along with AITO M9, it's just getting more competitive.

SongL is such a good looking SUV coupe. Going to be tough for Model Y. The Chinese market simply is getting harder to breathe under this pressure.

I see this comment about how Honda and Toyota might do well after Shanghai & just shake my head. These stupid reporters just write nonsense without going to mainland.

I'm going to tweet other stuff after today, but just too much BYD stuff to report on today.

The F model news completely got missed, because of so much other announcement. Chengdu motor show to run at end of August. that's when it will get unveiled. i'm still waiting for the electric pickup

Anyway, Destroyer 07 is out. another good looking PHEV sedan. There are too many of this in the market
They need to start eliminating some duplicate models. Denza D9 is doing great by itself. having too many models overwhelms buyers.

Interior space probably remains the same because the wheelbase stays unchanged. Most of the increased length goes to the front overhang. BYD can bring the Chinese version of Dolphin to the European market as a cheaper version in the future if they want to do so.

even more interesting, it partnered up with ZF to deliver smart driving to automakers in China. I assume this is mostly for foreign automakers, since domestic ones do their own or go with huawei
