Let's just take a moment to pause and think about despite the fact that the U.S. is trying its darnest to hobble China in semiconductor, China never once reciprocated in battery tech, solar, rare earth, or other fields it has a massive advantage in. In fact the US government is doing more to cripple American battery production than anyone else in the world. They literally are okay with importing premade CATL batteries instead of creating American jobs with a CATL factory in Virginia.
