The Fremont factory is actually very space limited. Tesla might actually sell it in the future.

If you want to see their newest tech, check out the Shanghai and Berlin factories(under construction). Their production techniques are very advanced and Musk obsession with vertical integration and automation is clearly paying off.

I am expecting their profits margins to increase even more in 1-2 years after these new factories iron out their starting production issues

addendum, I think the Chinese will dominate the light trucks (JAC) and the heavy truck (HOWO $ SINO TRUCK) sector with large sale, the after service will improve with more cheaper spare parts available. And after that they will eye the car market BUT they need to invest more especially in advertising cause there is still a stigma of made in China product.

I'm not sure why Sinotruk doesn't rename itself Sino Truck. Sure sounds cool. Make it mandatory that every member on Sino Defense has to drive a Sino Truck.

Sinotruk sounds like some cheap Filipino or Indonesian brand.

@Crang bro agree with you, if you see their design its muscular and massive, It was a top seller cause they're robust and cheap compare to the Japanese and the Koreans. but HOWO the brand name is great, at first I laugh at the brand name but its catchy and easy to pronounce.

The most automated car factory I have seen is the Munich BMW factory, 6000 robots vs 2000 workers starting from steel press to drive off factory. That factory is a mechanical and automation engineer's dream.

Most German car companies are more advanced in the automation department than Japanese, American and Chinese companies.

The reason is actually for precision and quality, not to save labor.

An uncle of mine is the CEO of a car robot company that focuses on the programming of robots (a KUKA subsidiary now I think). His words are "the only companies that matter to him are Benz, BMW and Audi, all others are 5-10 years behind. Only the Germans will pay millions to improve robot performance by 0.1%"

The Seres factory seems more automated than BYD. It looks highly automated when it comes to stamping, welding, painting and battery packing. General assembly still need more workers but lots of robots involved too.

Why Seres headquarters is in the United States? However this company is a subsidiary of Chongqing Sokon Industry Group, so it's Chinese or American?

I am waiting for a brand Huawei cars. They didn't announce this, but Huawei also didn't announce before its automobiles tech plans. So I believe it would be a good business idea because Huawei soon will be able to produce 28 nm chips with its subsidiary in Shanghai, and cars don't need very advanced chips. What's more, EV is now booming.
