This Japanese rag needs to address what's the so-called innovative solution that Indian EV makers have introduced into the industry, and not just produced such fluff piece because it's ridiculous. The article sounded like an infomercial; not to mention an overly optimistic appraisal of the Indian market that has yet to produce of show it can or has the market, the buying power from the supposed Indian customers who can and will sustain huge investments and commitment from EV makers.
This company should make diesel cars exclusively. They're missing a wonderful opportunity to rebrand themselves as VinDiesel.

Considering Vietnam is at ~2009 China GDP per capita levels and many many times smaller this is actually quite an impressive achievement.The problem with Vinfast is, it’s just like Chinese car manufacturers in 1990s, they don’t do the design and they don’t do the manufacturing, they simply import components and put them together.
I mean , given time , you could build your technology and supply chain , but their domestic market is too small, it’s hard to make a deal with auto giants like China did, and the supply chain for auto industry is too large, too complicated. Educated population, infrastructure, political support, most of all, are they willing to sacrifice their motorcycle industry? If not , there’s no future for Vietnamese auto industry
