Reading about BYD launching a (Yuan Up) in the UK, and bearing in mind the general packaging challenges that PHEVs face, just how small can they go? I see that the elderly and soon-to-be-replaced Jeep Renegade PHEV is slightly shorter than Atto 2 at 4.23m long against Atto 2's 4.31m. Impressively, the former can also apparently be with a compact spare tyre. Are there any PHEVs smaller than this available in China? It doesn't appear that there any Kei-class PHEVs in Japan (BYD's Kei car looks great, incidentally).
Also, it's disappointing that BYD have to go with the bland "Atto 1" name in Australia rather than more inspiring "Seagull" or even "Dolphin Surf" names used in other markets. If I were in the market for one I'd be tempted to source alternative badging and re-badge it myself...
