Farley said that Trump's tariff threats have created an atmosphere of "policy uncertainty". Farley described Trump's initial plan to enact 25 per cent tariffs on Mexico and Canada as a disaster for the US companies that operate across the region while providing an unfair advantage to European and Asian automakers that also export to the United States.
