BYD to build an assembly plant in Cambodia. The report doesn't mention when the plant will go into production, but some suggest that it will be the end of 2025.
Phnom Penh – China’s largest electric car manufacturer BYD has decided to step in Cambodia by investing to build a vehicle assembly plant in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone in Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province.

How’s your BYD?
To be exactly, mine is Denza. The market for Chinese cars in Cambodia is a mess because there's actually no official distributor of any Chinese brand here. My Denza D9 is running fine as it is expected to be. However, there are some points that I don't really like it. I'll try to list a few of them.

1. The third row is a big disappointment: After using this 7-seat MPV, I found that the 3rd row is for spare. I'd rarely need it but there's no way to fold it off for larger space at the rear. I like the way they deal it with the 3rd row of BYD Xia.
2. Front doors are too low. In general, cars have door above a side horizontal frame (whatever you call it), but the side frame of D9 is hidden behind doors that its doors go all the way to the lowest part of the vehicle. What's wrong with that? If you park the D9 next to the sidewalk and it's too high, you probably can't open the door.
3. ICE running too loud when battery low: Mine is DM-i version so it has an ICE. When battery runs low (18% for low speed and 30% for high speed), ICE kicks in to drive the wheels and charge the battery at the same time. The sound of the ICE is very loudly like it is running at very high speed. Perhaps they should make the car running pure electric to a certain battery level, then running pure gasoline and no need to charge battery unless battery level is extremely low.
4. Need to run the ICE once a while: I was advised to run the ICE at least once per week. So, the way I do it is after battery dry out, I'd run the ICE for one day then charge battery. That's annoyed! Perhaps they should design to make ICE runs automatically after a certain of period, so that users don't have to care about it.
5. Some small functions don't work properly: for example, the traffic signs are identified wrongly in some certain scenarios. Memory seat doesn't move to its memorized position correctly.
6. There's no way to lock children from messing with buttons in the rear seats. I have to restore everything back to default after my children leave the car.

I think the ICE has only one speed because they are meant to run at peak efficiency.

I think you cannot keep the ICE not running over a long period, right? We have a member here (I think he's from China) who also own a D9 DMi. His dealership also advised him to run one tank of gas per month. For my case, it takes me at least 3 months to use up one tank if I only drive in city.
