Kudos to planeman! Nicely done job! :)
I am rather surprised India is this low, though, when China is way up there.
As for the Arab states, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi, Oman. I am surprised at their differences. Kuwait is really high.
And doesn't the Dutch share a similar sized navy as that of Germany? It is way down......
Lastly Singapore, its main component of its score comes from its 6 frigate and 12 fearless FACs, right?

And to the dissatified ones, c'mon now, he's doing his best. We aren't perfect. Also, this chart talks about pure ASM fire power, nothing else!
And I can tell you, I don't have this sort of dedication.

firepower is important, even if only to scare the enemy with...

but there is another factor to consider, the distribution of force... countries with big coastline will have to spread it's defenses wide... and therefore needing a great amount of power to maintain the same amount of protection along the coast.

Nicely done How ever if we are lookimg at firepower it only takes a partial view (Missels). It seems incomplete. I would think there are other things to consider, If I were an Admirale. Of course I could be mistaken. Good post!

Is the stealth factor is counted in this calculation ?
Is the France counting CdG and Rafale Aircraft ?

Stealth is not factored in at all. right from the start this is ONLY anti-ship missiles which we all agree is only one part of a larger picture.

Re the Rafale, you may be surprised to hear that the Rafale-M as currently deployed on the French carrier has no operational anti-ship missile capability and is employed purely in air defense. The French air force Rafales are only starting to get operational and also probably won't be tasked with anti-ship missiles for some time (if at all) although I assume that Rafale has a theoretical interface with Exocet.

But I did count the current Exocet equiped super Etendard aircraft.

The French score will increase as and when the much better Exocet Mk40 Block III missile is deployed. Until then, the French who are often thought of as world leaders in anti-ship missile technology (due to the infamy of the Exocet) are actually getting behind.

Great job Planeman.

The Su-30MK2 carries at least four Kh-31A, not two. I don't think it matters much to trade any place, but if you have a modeling spreadsheet behind this, a slight correction would give you a more accurate number.

By now China should have all eight of the Kilos with Klubs they ordered. I hope you remembered to factor those in.

Han class subs have sub launched YJ-81s. These were the first subs China had that could fire ASMs underwater.

There is no way to account for the number of coastal batteries all countries like China and Taiwan has that could launch ASMs. So we can keep that out in the chart in the meantime.

After that thing with the IDF destroyer being hit by C-802s---an ASM that is a generation behind what China now equips its Navy as standard---there is probably much more stock now on the effectivity of Chinese ASMs.

So, I believed that you counted the defensive aspect of each fleet, maybe we can count the Storm Shadow for Rafale.:D

Please evidence that French air force and/or navy Rafale's are currently operational with a routine fit that includes SCALP in an anti-ship role. Otherwise, no we wuldn't count them.
