Until the lunar lander program SpaceX was funding Starship in house. This isn’t a funding stunt it’s an internal leak where the Boss is telling his crew to get their ducks in a row or risk loosing their jobs.

This was an internal Email which though it has some doom and glum isn’t at the same degree of eminent apocalypse. It’s basically a call to arms to head off a problem not an issuance of pink slip.
Don’t get me wrong Elon could give P.T. Barnum a lesson or two on what is born every minute. Yet to assume it’s all smoke and mirrors is highly unlikely and thus far the failure rate of Space X is better than any Government program.

NASA gave three companies contracts for LEO space stations: Blue Origin, Nanoracks and Northrop.
Axiom will add their module to the ISS in 2024 and it will do what the Russians have been talking about. The Axiom module will undock from the ISS to act as the basis for their own space station:

Good to see real developments of ESA future launch systems, also its manned program. It will lower ESA`s dependency from NASA in that field, that will open more opportunities for ESA to collaborate with other space agencies, including CNSA much deeper and more intense, lowering/cutting US ability to blackmail ESA and press them to scrub cooperation with CNSA.
