Russia can move the next Soyuz launch up if necessary. It is already manufactured. So this is not a big deal.

As for the launches, the only reason the US launch number is so high is because of Starlink. Russia actually had a better year than usual.
The sanctions will mean Russia will lose most of the commercial market they had left, but SpaceX had already taken most of that market anyway.
Were it not for Starlink then China would be #1.

The real disaster here in terms of the launch space is Europe. They used to be leader in the commercial launch sector for almost two decades. Now they launch in single digits. Pretty soon India will pass them over.

SpaceX is now valued at an insane $137B. Starlink only has one million customers and is losing money. Launching Starlinks account for the bulk of SpaceX business. Without the U.S. government and itself, SpaceX is in the same shape as Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

If ESA eventually signs up to use Starlab, SpaceX will get funding from other governments too.

Russia is launching a replacement Soyuz for the one that is damaged:

Interesting how Roscosmos says MS-23 will be a 'rescue vehicle', while the NASA rep went: "We're not calling it a 'rescue Soyuz', it's a 'replacement Soyuz'".

It's not like the crew is literally stranded without a return vehicle and they literally need to be rescued, but no, no, semantics and optics are more important.
