I never read the books but "saw" the Amazon show. I didn't really pay attention because it was really boring to me. The cast was mostly ugly and the way they dressed look like they got it off the curtain rack...literally. Maybe that's what it was portrayed in the books but I found it made the ugly people look even uglier. That's what's wrong with with these modern day fantasy shows and movies. Everything is suppose to be a typecast meaning women are beautiful and men are masculine. The whole DEI stuff seems to want to intentionally go the opposite direction out of spite. The only thing good about this show were the locations which were more storybook. How about spend more on the fantasy element since it's a fantasy setting.

Just watched the finale of Squid Game. It didn't have the same emotional tug the first season had though they attempted it because it eventually evolved around a baby as a contestant in the game. The ending was predictable because of it.

Interesting though since it's the end of the Korean Squid Games, it looks like an American one is being set up because who shows up in the end is an the "American" recruiter gathering contestants in Los Angeles? It's an A-List Oscar winning actor playing the role.

Im actually surprised that two of the main characters are white cis-gindered (had to Google for that term) males. Would have expected an Indian/Latino (or any other non-East Asian male) along with a non-binary character.

Can't wait to see who they cast for Voldermort.
