Hehehe...Brumby, you verge on making my last point for me...and so soon! LOL!

In all seriousness though, the programs are moving forward.

I do not call people who simply point out overages in spending as naysayers and never have. I do reserve the right to point out that over the life of the projects (for example the Ford) that advances in technology and reduced manning on the Ford, will prove in all likelihood in the end overcome the initial overages.

However, there are others who love to naysay the programs out of political, ideological, and desires of favoritism toward other projects.

In addition, there are those who speak of finances and xinceniently leave aside political decisions that lead to the arguments they make (for example claiming how expensive each F-22 is when the decisions to reduce their numbers created that debacle).

My earlier point was more simple. The programs are producing myriad successes now, despite the type of naysaying that has gone on that suggested the programs would fail and could not succeed.

Finally, I predict that both programs, before all is said and done, will be viewed as very successful and vital to US national defense and interests. Even then, when that becomes obvious, there will be those that naysay them. It is the nature of the beast.
