So the US has no problem of giving a free pass to India and Saudi as human rights, genocide, or other authoritarian violation can be overlooked. However, the US is so concerned about the plight of Muslims, Christians, or political activists in China to impose sanctions. That's why only morons would buy this kind of nonsense of rules based international liberal order but there are so many morons in the world.
We can't all be an angry cynics you know...
So-called (typical) "human rights" were only respected in America for maybe the last 40 years or less.
The Flying Tigers general was technically illegally married to his Chinese wife (anti-miscegenation law) in Louisiana. So really, what is this "long history of respecting human rights"?
It isn't just Texas
Florida has instituted an election police that is destroying lives (disproportionately affects Blacks, so basically a cultural genocide)
North Carolina is allowing the ruling party to redraw districts to keep themselves in power (I guess they were inspired by NPC electing Xi to a 3rd term)
